Privacy policy
Effective date: October 16, 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit ashfount.com, why we collect it, which service providers process it for us and what rights you have. We have kept it short and in plain English. The site has no user accounts, sells nothing and shows no advertising.
Who is responsible
ashfount.com is run by Ashfount Partners LP, 8000 Centre Park Drive, Suite 130, Austin, TX 78754 (“Ashfount”, “we”, “us”). For any question about your data, write to us through the contact form or by mail to the address above.
What we collect and why
When you browse the site
We measure visits with Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service. Plausible sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. To count unique visitors it combines your IP address and browser user agent with the website name and a random value that is replaced every 24 hours, and keeps only the resulting anonymous identifier; your raw IP address and user agent are never stored. From the same request it derives your browser, operating system, approximate country and the page you came from. We see these figures only as totals. Plausible is built and hosted in the European Union.
Our hosting provider Vercel receives the technical data every web request carries (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) in order to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
When you send us a message
The contact form asks for your name, email address, a subject and your message. We use them only to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation. The form is delivered to our inbox by Resend, an email delivery service, which also sends you a short confirmation that we received your message. A hidden spam check on the form works without cookies and without any third party.
When you join the newsletter
If you sign up for the newsletter, or tick “Keep me updated on Ashfount news” on the contact form, we add your name and email address to our mailing list at Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.). We use the list only to send you Ashfount news and articles. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time. If you do not tick the box, a contact form message does not add you to the list.
Service providers
We use exactly these four providers. Each processes data only on our instructions and for the purpose named here.
- Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia): cookieless site analytics, hosted in the EU.
- Vercel (Vercel Inc., United States): hosting and delivery of the website.
- Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., United States): delivery of contact form messages and the confirmation email.
- Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., United States): our newsletter list and newsletter emails.
Fonts and images are served from our own site, so loading a page does not contact any other service. Links to other websites open those sites in a new tab; their own privacy policies apply there.
Cookies
ashfount.com sets no cookies of its own, and none of our providers sets a tracking cookie on this site. That is why you see no cookie banner.
How long we keep data
Contact messages are kept as long as we need them to answer you and follow up on the conversation, and are deleted when they are no longer needed. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. Plausible keeps only anonymous totals. Hosting logs are kept by Vercel for a short period for operations and security.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data and do not share it with anyone other than the providers above, unless the law requires us to.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time which personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, ask us to stop using it, or receive a copy. If you live in a place whose law gives you further rights, such as the European Union or a US state with a consumer privacy law, you have those rights too, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. To use any of these rights, contact us through the contact form.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
When we change how we handle data, we update this page and its effective date. The terms of service cover the rest of your use of the site.
